This past Saturday I co-directed the second scene for a song entitled "Feels So Good". The artist behind the song has been produced by Timbaland and Dr. Dre to name a few.
When I was asked to contribute to this video I didn't realize how much fun the task at hand would be. Our first day of shooting was at a skate park in the 4th Ward (Atlanta) and then we took our talents to club Mingles (off Courtland) for the second scene.
Getting friends, associates, and extra's to participate in the second scene of this video was not as difficult as expected. I sent out a few text messages, phone calls, and Graigs Lists postings and it was on and poppin'!
I was happy to see a lot of people that I hadn't seen in awhile and I was elated with the turn out overall. The fact that everyone involved co-operated and took direction(s) without me having to say much speaks volumes. The ladies were very attentive and the fellas definitely left their ego's at the door. Sheeeiiit...there were plenty of beautiful women there so the fellas were probably "very" content with doing whatever I asked...just as long as they could be around the women. You already know how that goes...
Anyhow, I've been going through a lot behind the scene's so shooting this costume scene was a great escape for me. I realize that if I keep myself busy with music and directing videos, I tend not to over-think things that really bother me. My mind stays off of certain people and situations that I'd rather not elaborate on. This isn't the forum for me to vent my personal issues but I will tell you that I am fine. God is enormously great! I will continue to keep a poker face and roll with the punches.
The pictures you see above are of the talent and good people that came out to make a cameo in the video. Just peep me and Angela Davis (bottom pic). She kept me laughing and must have sinced that I wasn't myself because she told me that everything would be alright before the night was over. She said this out of the blue...She must think she knows me aye? Maybe the disgruntle feelings I sometimes have were written all over my face...who knows. I think it was probably the two shots that I had right before I took this picture! Yes, I was drinking on the job but I wasn't drunk! Never that...I'm disciplined 90% of the time. I don't let these beautiful breezy's sway me like that...nope.
Alright cha'll, I just wanted to share a little of my life with the people ( you all) that support my efforts. May God bless you all! Super God bless to everyone on the East Coast facing Miss Sandy! Dwell somewhere safe or get out of dodge.
Spread love!
